Let's begin with our Release HOP!
Each of our Design Team members will be sharing their inspiration with gorgeous projects that feature every one of these new stamps!

Here is what I have created:

As an avid thimble collector, my honey has brought me home thimbles from all around the world, the Thimble and Thread stamp was the perfect choice for me!  The Be~you~tiful sentiment from the Perfectly Beautiful Sentiment Set worked beautifully with the alphabet metal charms.  I chose one of my favorite color combos, black, white & red and added a vintage flair to it by dyeing the seam binding with instant coffee and using Tea Dye and Walnut Stain Distress Inks to distress the edges of the white cardstock.  This was a super fun card to make and I am thrilled on how it turned out!

~ Exciting MiC News!!! ~

Hello my crafty friends,

I am so excited to share with you that I have been chosen to be a guest designer until the end of the year for MiC. Thank you Zoe for this amazingly fabulous opportunity!  I am so blessed to have this chance to share and grow in my coloring skills with all of the talented team members and with the MiC Family.

Every month MiC sponsors a Make 'it' Colourful Challenge.  The theme for October is:

For my first challenge, I wanted to use the Siren Lorelei and the Clam Shell digi stamps.  I had never merged two images together before since I am pretty new at using digital stamps.  I have to say it was a thoroughly fascinating and enjoyable experience learning how to merge images together and I look forward to doing this technique again.  I am so in love with this mermaid!  Her billowing hair is so dreamy and who wouldn't want long, luscious, billowing pink hair?!

I colored the image and the word "Wish" with Copics.  The word "Wish" is from the Doodle Dream Word Chipboard set and they are so easy to color with Copics or any other medium you choose to color them with.  These chippies are great fun to use on your cards and are the perfect embellishment if you want to add a little dimension without a lot of bulk to your card design.

~ A Golden Fairytale ~

Hi crafty friends,

I have another adorable image to share with you by The Paper Nest Dolls.  Ballgown Ella is from the Fairytale Collection and she reminds me of my daughter when she was little dressing up like Belle from the movie The Beauty and the Beast.

I colored Ballgown Ella with Copics and added a bow made with C.C. Designs Make A Bow Die.  I really like how the bow added a delicate touch to the card layout.

~ Watermelon Ellie ~

Hi everyone,

Sorry it has been a while since I posted, but I went back to Indiana to help my mom take care of a few things.  You gotta help your momma, right?!  While we were away, a water leak decided to occur in my craft room right over my desk, ugh, what a mess.  Luckily our daughter caught it in time before it became a total nightmare.  Coloring this adorable image, Watermelon Ellie, from The Paper Nest Dolls is just what I needed to take me away from dealing with the fact that my craft room is in total disarray along with the family room and dining room which is where everything is going to be for the next few weeks.  The Paper Nest has the cutest images!  Watermelon Ellie was so much fun to color and I look forward to coloring more of these cuties!!!

~ Scaredy Cat ~ Who Me??? ~

We are excited to announce the third release from By DIEzyne Dies and Doodle Dragon.  We are celebrating this weekend on Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group and C.C. Designs Facebook Group.
We are kicking everything off with a really big blog hop!

This Scaredy Cat stamp from Doodle Dragon Studios just cracks me up!  He reminds me of our cat, Tiger, who is scared of everything including his own shadow!  So I thought it would be funny to make a scene card where the cat is afraid of the mice; which would absolutely be our Tiger if he ever saw mice in real life!  I used the Pierced Half Circle die set from By DIEzyne to make this easel card and curtains and then used my Tonic Distress Tool to make it look like the cat clawed up the curtains when he saw the mice.  I ended up having to color the image after our daughter's cat, Lola, since Tiger is an orange tabby and his coloring didn't match the paper I chose to use (sorry Tiger).  I colored Scaredy Cat exactly like Lola right down to the pads of her paws.  She has the cutest pink and black padded paws!  However, she isn't scared of any critter.  She is even our resident scorpion killer so I don't think mice would scare her one bit!  Scaredy Cat is on an Action Wobble so when the card moves so does the cat!  I hope this card gives you a chuckle and brightens up your day!

To see all the goodies I used to make this card see below.

~ Hot Sip ~ Hot Cocoa Style ~

Hello everyone!

I'm back today sharing my last card in my Hot Sip series.

This time I envisioned a fun Christmas shaker card.  With some sequins, no-hole beads, mini jingle bells and a sparkly gingerbread man, this card comes to life!  I really wanted this to look like a hardy cup of cocoa so I embossed it using JudiKins Rustique Patina Bronze Embossing Powder to make it look like a stone mug and adding chocolate shavings on top of the whipped cream make this hot cocoa extra yummy!

Here is a list of goodies used to make this card:

DoveArt's Hot Sip from Whimsy Stamps, My Minds Eye Lost & Found: Union Square, JudiKins Rustique Patina Bronze Embossing Powder, JudiKins Espresso Speckles, Creme Crepe Paper Streamer, Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, Antique Linen Distress Marker, AMuse Studio Latte Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Stampendous Silver Crushed Glass Glitter, Creative Impression's Cream Crepe Ribbon, AMuse Pearls: Latte, EK Success Zizag Chain Edger Punch, Recollections Glitter Gingerbread Man, Make It Christmas Jingle Bells, Doodlebug Design Lily White Sequins, Silver & Clear No-holed beads, Tulip Snow Cap White Dimensional Fabric Paint, Spellbinder's Classic Rectangles {Lg.} ~

~ Hot {Brew} Sip ~

Hi everyone!

As promised, I wanted to share with you the second card in my Hot Sip series.

Just by changing a few decorative elements I was able to create a vintage style halloween card.  Once again I used Spellbinders Labels 17 die set but turned the card vertically, which I think gives the card a different feel.  This time I added vintage glass glitter to the edges and to the whipped cream.  The spider adds a little extra spookiness to the brew.  Of course, you need some drippy goo, webbing and some bling to finish off the card.  This card makes me very happy!  I hope you love my card as much as I loved making it!

Here is a list of products used on Hot Brew Sip:

DoveArt's Hot Sip from Whimsy Stamps, Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Border Punch, Black Crepe Streamer, Black Eyelash Yarn, Art Glitter Vintage Glass Glitter: Floragold, Black Soot Distress Ink, Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, AMuse Studio Latte Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Creative Impressions Black Web Ribbon, Antique Linen Distress Marker, We R Memory Keepers Black Widow 6 x 6 Paper Pad, Spellbinders Labels 17 Die Set, Tulip Snow Cap White Dimensional Fabric Paint, EK Success Black Gems, The Rubber Cafe Jellie Dots, Making Memories Spooky Alley Spider Brad ~

~ Simply Sweet Hot Sip ~

Hello my fellow stampers,

I am here to share with you today my all-time favorite stamp, Hot Sip,  from the DoveArt stamp line with Whimsy Stamps.  This coffee cup is not only fun to color but also to stamp and emboss on beautiful papers and cut out to get different looks.

It's so much fun that I ended up making three different cards.  The other two cards I will share with you later.  When I first saw the Hot Sip stamp, my mind went crazy with ideas.  The stamp is extremely versatile and can be used for so many different occasions.  I knew it would look great stamped on this paper from My Minds Eye and when I paired it with the Spellbinders Labels Seventeen Die I instantly fell in love with this shabby chic inspired design.  To make the ruffle match the paper I sprayed a white crepe paper streamer using an airbrush machine and a Copic BG32 marker.  I wanted to add some whipped cream to my delicious latte so I added some Snow Cap White Dimensional Fabric Paint from Tulip and jazzed it up with a sprinkling of glitter.  I hope you love this card as much as I do!!!

Here is a list of other products I used to make this card:

MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax dies, Memory Box's Meridian Border Die, Donna Salizar's Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter, Versamark Ink, White Embossing Powder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, A-Muse Studio Latte Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Antique Linen Distress Marker, Hero Arts 3mm Pearls, Zig Squeeze & Roll Glue Pen, 3M Foam Tape & Martha Stewart Rose Quartz Glitter Eyelash Yarn ~

Thank you for sharing in my creative journey!

The Winter Chickadee fits perfectly into the opening that I created.  I popped up the card front on top of the image which gives the card dimension without a lot of bulk.  I added a sentiment from C.C. ~ Nature and the Color Wheel ~

I adore this DoveArt's Giraffe stamp from Whimsy Stamps new release!  Giraffes are one of my most favorite animals; they have such gentle spirits!  When I started designing this card I had a vision that the giraffe should be pink, but as I started coloring it it just didn't speak to me so I started experimenting with different colors and there in front of me ended up being the most beautiful giraffe and I knew I had the perfect quote and stencil to go with it.  I am so happy with how this card turned out and I hope it puts a smile on your face, too!

Creative Directions:

1.  Start with white cardstock cutting 5 1/2 x 11, 5 1/4 x 5 1/4, 4 x 4, and 2 strips 5 1/2 x 1 1/2.
2.  Score card base at 5 1/2 and set aside.
3.  Using my eBosser machine I cut and embossed my Spellbinders Label One Die in the 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 piece of cardstock.  To secure the die to the cardstock I used a piece of washi tape so it would not shift when going through the machine.  Next I cut and embossed the 4 x 4 piece of cardstock with the next smallest size Labels One Die.
4.  Taking the 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 piece of cardstock I just made a frame with, I put the die back in and secured it with pieces of washi tape to a non-stick mat and put my DCWV stencil on top and secured it to the mat with blue painters tape.  Next I applied Dreamweavers Glossy White Stencil Paste with a palette knife.  Gently remove stencil by lifting from the bottom to the top and pull away from the cardstock.  Gently remove washi tape from die and remove from cardstock.  Set cardstock aside to dry.  Wash stencil and die right away so paste does not dry on them.
5.  Stamp words in Versamark Ink on diecut piece of cardstock and emboss in gold. {I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to help me stamp the words so they were not crooked.}  Lay circle stencil over words and using a stencil pouncer, sponge Mustard Seed Distress Ink.  Set aside.
6.  Taking the 2 strips of 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 pieces of cardstock, punch 2 strips of grass using the Martha Stewart Grass Punch. Set aside.
7.  Stamp giraffe in Versamark Ink and emboss in gold.  Apply Distress Inks to a watercolor palette   and using a waterbrush color giraffe layering colors.  I also used some Tombow Markers, where needed, to add in color. Trim around giraffe with sharp scissors.
8.  When embossing paste is dry, assemble card using mounting foam.  I used a single layer of foam on the cardstock with the words and the first layer of grass; a double layer on the frame and giraffe; and a triple layer on the top layer of grass to give it all the proper amount of dimension.

~ All Aboard! ~

This DoveArt's "Old West Locomotive" by Whimsy Stamps reminded me of our family vacation to Paris, riding on the train through the French countryside.  Old locomotives just remind me of romantic times gone by so I decided to make what I think is a romantic train ride through France.

When I get stamps, I like to figure out different ways to use them besides stamping and coloring.  Now don't get me wrong, I love to color, but sometimes it's nice to find multiple ways to use your stamps to get different looks.  Mixed media is a love of mine and I thought this stamp would work in perfectly with that technique.  This card was so enjoyable to make and is full of dimension and texture.

Stamps Used:
Stampers Anonymous:  Odds & Ends

Supplies Used:

Sizzix: Texture Fades Eiffel Tower Embossing Folder, Hardware Findings Bigz Die, Weathered Clock Bigz Die; Tim Holtz Idea-ology:  Philosophy Tags, Film Strip Ribbon, Mini Numerals, Memo Pins, Long Fasteners, Tiny Attacher; Ranger Black Soot Distress Paint; Stampendous:  Aged Black Embossing Powder & Clear Embossing Powder; Versafine Onyx Black Ink; Nashua Multi-Purpose Foil Tape

Thank you for stopping by!
